Psychotherapy & Psychoanalysis
Practice
We can work together to illuminate unacknowledged emotions, fears, desires, and entrenched patterns from the past so that you can form new ways of living with meaning and vitality. Through this process, you may begin to undertake new ways of acting in the world. Where there is inhibition, there is the potential for action. Where there is automatic behavior, there is the potential for awareness. The goal of the treatment is to initiate a process of transformation that allows you to articulate, in a language only you can speak and perhaps for the first time, possible futures for your life.
I aim to create an introspective environment in which one feels safe enough to say whatever comes to mind in the healing presence of a listening other. People who have benefitted from this treatment include those suffering from conflicts in relationships, sexuality and identity, trauma, social isolation and loneliness, career struggles, substance use, depression, and anxiety.
My education includes a Master's in Clinical Social Work from New York University (LCSW) and a Master of Arts in English Literature and Language from Freie Universität Berlin (MA). I currently study child and adult psychotherapy & psychoanalysis at the Psychoanalytic Training Institute at the Contemporary Freudian Society in New York. At Rose Hill Psychological Services Clinic, I am a clinical supervisor and community member.
Fee
I work with patients who use out-of-network benefits to help pay for treatment and those who pay out of pocket. I take your financial situation into account before beginning treatment. In our first session, we will have a conversation about the fee which will begin, and become part of, our work together.
Supervision
I provide clinical supervision to early-career psychodynamic therapists in the fields of Social Work and Mental Health Counseling.
